Partner terms

The agreement between you and Beyond the Man Box when you refer someone. Plain language on purpose — if a clause here is unclear, that's our problem to fix, so tell us.

1. Who this is between

You, as an independent referral partner, and Beyond the Man Box, of Las Vegas, Nevada. This agreement doesn't make you an employee, agent, or partner in the legal sense, and it doesn't give either of us authority to make commitments on the other's behalf.

2. What counts as a referral

Someone arrives through your link, and later becomes a paying client. Specifically:

  • They follow your referral link, which credits you for 90 days.
  • First introduction wins. If someone arrives through your link and later through another partner's, they stay credited to you.
  • A referral is confirmed by a person on our side before anything is owed. Nothing is paid automatically off the tracking.

3. What the tracking can and can't see

Visitors can decline our tracking cookie, and some do. When that happens the introduction still happened — it just may not appear in our numbers. We think you should know that upfront rather than discover it.

So: the tracking is a floor, not a ledger. If you refer someone and it doesn't show up, tell us. We'll look at it, and we'd rather credit a referral we can reasonably verify than hide behind a cookie that didn't get set.

4. What you earn

Your rate is agreed with you individually, in writing, before you refer anyone. We're not publishing a standard percentage yet, and we would rather say that than print a number and revise it after you've started. Sign up and we'll settle it with you directly — and whatever we agree is what applies to every referral you make under this version of these terms.

If you asked for a non-cash arrangement instead — seats for your own clients, co-branded materials, a reciprocal referral — that's agreed the same way, in writing, and replaces the commission rather than adding to it.

5. When it's paid

Commission becomes payable after a holding period that covers refunds and cancelled payment plans — if the sale unwinds inside it, the commission unwinds with it. The exact length is agreed with you alongside your rate.

We'll ask you how you want to be paid. You're responsible for your own taxes on anything you receive; if you're in the US and we pay you enough in a year to require it, we'll need a W-9 and will issue a 1099.

6. What isn't eligible

  • Yourself. You can't refer your own household or your own purchase.
  • People already talking to us. If someone is already a client, or already in conversation with us when your link reaches them, that isn't a new introduction.
  • Paid ads on our name. Don't bid on "Beyond the Man Box" or close variants in search advertising. It competes with us for people who were already looking for us.
  • Unsolicited bulk messaging. No spam, no purchased lists, no posting your link where it isn't welcome.
  • Anything misrepresenting us. Fake accounts, impersonation, invented results, or promises we haven't made.

7. How you talk about the work

Describe what we actually do. We're coaching and emotional skill-building — not therapy, not clinical treatment, and not a substitute for either. Please don't claim we treat, diagnose, or cure anything, and please don't promise specific outcomes.

Where it matters — and it usually does — be open that you have a referral arrangement with us. Anyone weighing your recommendation deserves to know that.

8. Your own professional obligations

If you're a licensed clinician or belong to a professional body, its rules come first. Some codes treat accepting a fee for a referral as fee-splitting regardless of intent, and it's your responsibility to know whether yours does — we're not in a position to advise you on it.

This is exactly why the non-cash option exists, and why it's offered on equal footing. Nobody should have to choose between sending someone to help that would suit them and staying inside their own rules.

9. Ending it

Either of us can end this at any time, for any reason, by saying so. If we end it, we'll still honour commission on referrals already confirmed before that point.

We may suspend or void a referral we have good reason to believe was obtained through any of the things in section 6. If that ever happens we'll tell you why and hear you out first.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When a change is material, we'll bump the version at the top and tell partners by email. Your accepted version is recorded when you sign up, so it stays clear which terms you agreed to. Continuing to refer after a change means accepting the new version.

11. The legal bits

Nothing here is a guarantee of income — what you earn depends entirely on whether the people you introduce choose to work with us. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.
