Plain version: we collect what you type into an assessment or a signup form, we use it to send you what you asked for and to follow up, and we delete it if you ask. We don't sell it.

Who we are
Beyond the Man Box, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. For anything on this page, email jason@beyondthemanbox.com.
What we collect
What you type into an assessment
Our assessments ask for your name and email, then record your answers, your scores, the archetype the scoring produces, and any free text you write — including the question about what you're struggling with most. Some assessments ask about gender identity; that question is optional and you can skip it.
Some of this is personal in the ordinary sense of the word. We treat the free-text answers as the most sensitive thing on the site, because they usually are.
Email signups
The newsletter form, the "send me the details" boxes on the offering pages, and the contact form each collect your email address, plus whatever else that form asks for. Which form you used is recorded too, so we know what you actually asked about.
Who referred you
Some people arrive through a referral link shared by a partner. When that happens we record the partner's code — not who you are, just which link brought you — so they can be credited if you go on to work with us. If you then send us your email through a form, the code is stored alongside it for the same reason.
Keeping that code on your device past the first page is the one thing on this site that asks for your consent, and declining it costs you nothing. Cookies has the detail.
Collected automatically
Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of serving and protecting the site. We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording. There is no Google Analytics on this site and never has been.
What we do with it
- Generate your assessment report and show it to you.
- Email you the results and whatever else you signed up for.
- Notify us that someone completed an assessment, so a real person can follow up.
- Add you to the mailing list matching what you signed up for — and only that one.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. If you're in a place with a formal legal-basis requirement: we rely on your consent for marketing email, and on legitimate interest for running and securing the site.
Who else touches it
These are the companies our site passes your information to, and why:
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Everything served, plus server logs and any form you submit | Hosting |
| Our database host | Assessment records | Storage, so your results still exist tomorrow |
| Brevo | Your email address and which list you joined | Sending email |
| Anthropic | Your assessment answers, to produce your report | The AI analysis in your results |
| Calendly | Whatever you enter when booking | Scheduling calls — only if you book one |
| Stripe | Your payment details, which never reach us | Taking payment — only if you buy something |
Calendly and Stripe are separate websites. Once you're on them, their privacy policies apply rather than ours.
How long we keep it
Assessment records and mailing list entries are kept until you ask us to delete them. We would rather say that plainly than publish a retention schedule we don't actually follow. Ask, and it goes.
What you can ask for
- A copy of what we hold about you.
- A correction, if something is wrong.
- Deletion.
- To be taken off the email list — every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works.
- To withdraw cookie consent — see Cookies.
Email jason@beyondthemanbox.com and we'll handle it. You don't need to explain why, and asking costs you nothing.
If you're in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you these rights formally, along with the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you're in California or Nevada, you have the right to know what's collected and to opt out of its sale — we don't sell personal information to anyone, for money or anything else.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent us something, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top, and — where the change affects what's stored on your device — ask for your cookie choice again.
